Red Dog – Betsoft

Red Dog is a casino game that is played with a standard deck of 52 cards. Two cards are dealt and players try to predict whether the third card will fall between the two original cards. The cards are valued using the traditional face value of poker, with Acoto being considered the card with the highest value.

Red Dog is a popular game in land-based casinos and online casinos. Many fans of online casinos prefer to play this really simple game compared to some complex games. This is also a fast game that can win the player a lot of winnings if he plays his cards correctly.

How to play Red Dog – Betsoft?

Players place their bets first before the dealer makes two initial cards. These cards are face up so that players can see their value.

What happens next depends on the value of the first two cards dealt:

If both cards have the same value (eg Two Jacks), a third card is dealt and if it is the same value again (eg the Dealer makes three Pops), then the player wins 11: 1 on his initial bet. If the third card is not the same value, the hand is pressed.

If both cards are dealt consecutively (for example 5 and 6 or Checkers and Pop), the third card cannot be placed between the first two, so the game is considered a boost and the player’s initial bet is returned.

If there is a difference between the first two cards, the player can choose his initial bet and will win if the third card is dealt between the first two. “Between” means higher than the low value card and lower than the high value card – for example, 5 is between 4 and 9, but 4 is not considered between 4 and 9.

The amount won if the third card falls between the first two depends on the size of the spread (see “Red Dog Payouts” below). This spread is marked on the table by the dealer, so you do not need to process it yourself. Obviously, if the third card dealt is outside the distribution between the first two cards, the player loses the initial bet and the raise, if any.

Red Dog Payouts

  • Three cards of the same value pay 11: 1 on the initial bet
  • The winning single card pays 5: 1 on the initial bet and raise (if made)
  • Winning spread with two cards pays 4: 1 on the initial bet and raise (if made)
  • The winning three spread card pays 2: 1 on the initial bet and raise (if made)
  • Winning spread from 4 to 11 pays 1: 1 on the initial bet and raise (if made)
