Shuffle Master (SG) DJ Wild Stud Poker is a poker casino game in which the Player plays against the Dealer’s hand. The player has the choice to play 1, 2 or 3 hands at a time.
The game uses a deck of 53 cards, consisting of a standard deck of 52 cards plus a Joker, which is shuffled after each game. The Joker and Pairs are completely wild and can therefore be used instead of any card of any class or suit.
The object of the game is to achieve a five-card poker hand higher than the Dealer’s. There are five wild cards available – five pairs and one joker. There is a selective Trips side bet that can also be played.
How to play DJ Wild Stud Poker casino game?
To get started, bet on Ante and Blind. These are equal bets that are made before the cards are dealt. The thrips bonus is optional and can only be bet on at this time.
The Dealer will then deal five cards to each “player” and to himself.
After looking at the cards dealt, you have the option to Fold or Play for each hand.
With the folding you give up the bets for Ante and Blind.
If you play, you automatically bet 2x bets on Ante.
The Dealer then reveals his five cards and they are compared with each hand.
- If the Dealer’s hand exceeds the player’s hand, all bets are lost.
- If the Dealer’s hand and the player’s hand are of the same class, bets are placed.
- If the player’s hand exceeds that of the Dealer, the player receives a payout as indicated in the payout table in the game.
Thrips bonus at DJ Wild Stud Poker
Trips bonus bets can be placed at the beginning of each game.
Even if one hand is folded, the Thrips bonus will still be appreciated.
Natural hands pay more than hands using Wild cards.
Not all hands with a Couple are considered “Wild”. If the Pair is not used as a Wild Card to create a winning hand for Thrips, it will be considered Natural.
For example, a Pair can be used as a Wild Card in the main game and as part of a Natural Hand for a Thrips Bonus.
Winnings are paid for hands rated as Three of a Kind or better.

Hand ranking
in DJ Wild Stud Poker, the hands are ranked from highest to lowest as follows:
- Five wild
- Royal Flush
- Five of a kind
- Straight flush
- Four of a kind
- Full house
- Flush
- Straight
- Three of a kind
- Two pairs
- Pair
- High card
The value of the card increases sequentially from 2 to 10, then Vale, Dama, Pop, Ace. Ace is considered high except in the 3-2-Ace sequence.
Only the highest possible class within the player’s cards is taken into account in the hand evaluation (although Straight Flush contains both Straight and Flush, it is calculated only as Straight Flush).
